Actor Alex Medina is open to having  a relationship with another man.

In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Alex clarified an earlier television interview where he said he is open to having a gay relationship.

He said what his statement meant was that it is possible for him to be in a homosexual relationship.

The son of veteran actor Pen Medina added that he is not closing his doors on being gay until he has tried being one.

“Ang sinabi ko lang doon sa isang TV interview, kung posible ba akong ma in-love sa isang gay, sabi ko ay may posibilidad naman iyon,” Alex said in the interview.

“Kasi, sexuality is fluid kumbaga. Hindi mo matutuldukan hangga’t na-try mo na.”

Alex even mentioned the movie “Brokeback Mountain,” the 2005 film by Oscars-winning director Ang Lee which featured Jack Glyenhall and the late Heath Ledger who fell in love with each other when they were in the mountains herding animals.

“Oo naman, siyempre. Kasi, hindi ba, ang daming istoryang ganyan, tulad ng Brokeback Mountain,” Alex said when asked if he could fall in love with a gay guy.

“Na barako sila, tapos mamaya-maya, kung ano na ang ginagawa nila sa bundok… So, hindi mo masabi, e.”

Alex said he would be willing to star in a gay film if he could be partnered with heartthrob John Lloyd Cruz, who he said he looks up to as an actor.

Alex joined this year’s Cosmobash, where he was groped by an enthusiastic female audience member. He said he did not mind being pinched in his manhood, though.

Alex also stars as Captain Jose Bernal in the hit historical epic film “Heneral Luna,” which is directed by Jerrold Tarrog.
